SMART Briefs is a project of the Rural Law Enforcement Technology Center and the Justice & Safety Center at Eastern Kentucky University. It is designed to collect and disseminate information about new technology for small and rural police agencies nationwide. SMART survey topics include: Digital Evidence; Less than Lethal Technologies; Voice Communications and Interoperability; Vehicle Pursuits; Body Armor; In-car Cameras; Ballistic Shields; and, Remote Surveillance.
