Detective James McBride, Clearwater Police Department

Detective James McBride has been with Clearwater Police Department since 1996 and currently serves in the Intelligence Unit as the lead detective on the Clearwater Area Task Force on Human Trafficking. Prior to his current assignment, Detective McBride worked as a sex crimes investigator, traffic homicide investigator, and radar operator.

As a subject matter expert, Detective McBride worked with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to develop a 40-hour advanced human trafficking investigations training for law enforcement. Also a member of the United States Naval Reserves since 2001, Detective McBride served in a combat zone during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004.
