Theodora Christopher, Office of the State Attorney Sixth Judicial Circuit

Theodora Christopher has been employed by the Office of the State Attorney in the Sixth Judicial Circuit since July 2002, and has spent the majority of her career prosecuting domestic violence cases. Although Ms. Christopher’s passion lies in ending domestic violence, she is also prosecutes other misdemeanor and felony cases and handles all criminal contempt cases assigned to the State Attorneys Office.

Christopher received her law degree from St. Thomas School of Law in Miami, where she served as Editor of the Law Review, and then continued on to earn her Masters in Criminal Law from the University of Buffalo Law School. Christopher remains the only Assistant State Attorney in the Sixth Judicial Circuit to attain this level of achievement. In July 2007, as a result of her continued hard work and dedication, Christopher was appointed the Lead Trial Attorney of the Domestic Violence Unit, a role in which she supervises all Assistant State Attorneys who specialize in the prosecution of domestic violence cases.

Christopher continuously provides in-service training for various law enforcement agencies in Pinellas County, as well as other agencies interested in reducing domestic violence in the community.
