Sergeant Kyle Cockream - Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office

 
     
   

Sergeant Kyle Cockream joined the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 1986 and is currently assigned to the Training Division. He began his career working in the Detention Department before transferring to the Uniform Patrol area. Currently, he is working in Recruiting and Screening. As a Patrol Deputy, Deputy Cockream was selected to be a Community Resource Deputy as part of the agency's COPS/AHEAD community policing grant. As a Community Resource Deputy, he worked at a Community Station in rural southeastern Hillsborough County. As a Corporal, Kyle worked in the Recruiting and Screening Division.

He is a certified crime prevention practitioner and a graduate of Hillsborough Community College with an Associate in Arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Kyle has co-authored several grants and teaches Community Policing within the Sheriff's Office. He has also served as an adjunct instructor for Hillsborough Community and is a state certified instructor for several law enforcement subjects, and instructs for the Florida Regional Community Policing Institute throughout the state.
