Cpl. Barry Trombley has been a member of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office since 1988, serving the last 12 years as a community policing deputy and field training officer. Cpl. Trombley is currently assigned to the Problem Solving Liaison Unit. He has worked as a Juvenile Detective with the DJJ as one of the LEO liaison detectives for the Intensive Community Protection Program from 1995-97. He has served as the Problem Oriented Policing instructor for the Sheriff’s Office since 1997. Cpl. Trombley served 8 years, 1977 – 85, as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army and 3 years as an officer in the city of Lake Worth, Florida. He is a graduate of Lake Worth High School and Kaplan University holding a degree in Legal Studies.
He participated in the FDLE/FL RCPI partnership for the development of the Basic Recruit Academy Curriculum. Another interesting assignment found him heading up the Code Enforcement department for the City of Belle Glade, Florida after the city department merged with the Sheriff’s Office. Cpl. Trombley has been a Florida RCPI instructor since 1999. |
