Ernest J. Lorelli, Retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant

 
     
   

Ernest J. Lorelli is consultant for public and private interests in terrorist use of improvised explosives devices (IED) and weapons of mass destruction (WMD). As a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, Lorelli has 25 years of military experience in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) operations and has been decorated for heroism for saving the life of an injured police officer. Lorelli has a wide range of operational experience in the defeat of conventional and unconventional weapons, including terrorist and criminal explosive devices, and led the mission to render safe an anthrax situation in Las Vegas, NV.

Having written extensively on EOD procedures and operations, Lorelli often acts as consultant to various law enforcement agencies on IED- and WMD-related issues. Lorelli has also developed threat matrixes for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, has contributed to the U.S. Government’s Lessons Learned Information Sharing network, and has lectured and written for Jane's Defense Information Group on EOD and IED issues. Lorelli holds a Masters Degree in Education from Boston University and has developed training programs large-scale exercises (RED TEAM) for multiple disciplines for preventing and recovering from IED and WMD events.
