Tom Hunt, L.C.S.W

 
     
   

Tom Hunt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years experience in  emergency medical services, E.M.S. education , mental health, and counseling.  He presently provides training, mental health consulting, and psychotherapy services for public safety, health care, educational, and social service agencies.  

He is an Adjunct Faculty member with The Figley Institute where he instructs in the Disaster Trauma and Compassion Fatigue Educators programs.  He is a Certified Field Traumatologist and a deployable member of Green Cross.  He also has a small private practice where he provides therapy to individuals, couples and families.

During his fourteen years with Georgia E.M.S. Training programs he assisted in the establishment of Critical Incident Stress Debriefing teams and personally conducted numerous C.I.S.D.s with various public safety and health care groups.

He is a graduate of Abraham Baldwin College, Valdosta State University (B.S.Ed) and Florida State University.  He received his Master in Clinical Social Work from F.S.U. and is licensed in the state of Georgia as a Clinical Social Worker.  He presently lives in Warwick GA, with his wife, Mary Beth.  He has two sons, Matt, a paramedic and E.M.T. instructor, and Rusty, a Captain in the U.S.A.F. Security Forces.
