Police Department Citizen's Policing Academy
The Largo Police Department's Citizen Police Academy is a 6-week program that exposes citizens to the operations, policies, procedures and services of the Largo Police Department. During this 6-week program, participants learn about arrest searches and seizures, the K-9 unit, youth services, domestic violence, drug awareness, traffic safety unit and neighborhood watch, among other things.
The Department's mission statement is "to join our community in solving problems, reducing crime and the fear of crime, and improving the quality of life."
