GIRLS IN GANGS

The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida and the Center for Public Safety Innovation at St. Petersburg College are pleased to announce that the Project Safe Neighborhoods Violent Gang and Gun Crime Reduction Program will conduct a one day class on Girls in Gangs. There are no fees or costs to attend this training.

This tuition-free eight-hour course is designed for gang investigators, patrol officers, and detectives. It is designed to give the student a basic understanding of the ever-changing world of gangs and how females play an intricate roll in them. In today's world, female gangs and gang members are more prevalent than ever and are continuing to rise in numbers. In this class students will learn how to identify and document female gang members and will gain an understanding of the mindset and roles that females play in the ever-changing world of criminal street gangs.
