Sexual Predator and Offender Awareness This 8-hour course is designed to give the officer or citizen the background information regarding the applicable state and federal guidelines pertaining to sex offenders and predators. These include the responsibilities of the offender/predator, law enforcement and citizens. The course then addresses proactive problem solving methods that agencies and communities can utilize to tailor a positive approach for their safety. Finally, the lesson plan will provide valuable factual information that officers can utilize to monitor the offender and suggest ways, to prevent panic or vigilante activity by uninformed individuals through education.
