STREET GANGS – PREVENTION & INTERVENTION The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida and the Center for Public Safety Innovation at St. Petersburg College are pleased to announce that the Project Safe Neighborhoods Violent Gang and Gun Crime Reduction Program will conduct a one day class on Street Gangs – Prevention and Intervention. There are no fees or costs to attend the training. This tuition-free eight-hour course is designed to acquaint law enforcement officers, educational personnel, and community members with what draws people to join gangs and what can be done to prevent or intervene in that process. Emphasis will be placed on officer safety issues and information/intelligence gathering by patrol officers. Course Objectives:
